Alors que l’année 2023 vient de s’achever, l’heure était au bilan ! Les fans de boxe français avaient jusqu’au 15 janvier 2024 pour élire les grands vainqueurs des Punchtime Awards 2023 en choisissant parmi 4 nominés par catégorie, en France et à l’international.

Après plusieurs milliers de votes par catégorie, Punchtime est heureux de vous présenter les grands gagnants de la première édition des Punchtime Awards. Merci à tous les participants et félicitations aux élus ainsi qu’à tous les nominés. 

FRANCE

Pour la première édition des Punchtime Awards, six catégories françaises étaient en lice :

Vous avez élu Jordy Weiss boxeur français de l’année 2023.

Avec 47% des voix, le champion d’Europe en titre des poids welters, Jordy Weiss, est élu boxeur français de l’année. Il devance Christian Mbilli, second avec 26% de vos votes et Walid Ouizza, troisième à 22%. Frank Petitjean clôture le classement avec 5% des suffrages.

Vous avez élu Ségolène Lefebvre boxeuse française de l’année 2023.

Deux boxeuses françaises vous ont tout particulièrement impressionné en 2023. Au coude-à-coude jusque dans les dernières minutes, Ségolène Lefebvre, championne du Monde WBO, est élue boxeuse française de l’année avec 49% des voix. Elle devance d’une courte tête Flora Pili, championne d’Europe des poids super-légers, seconde avec 47% des voix. Elhem Mekhaled et Johanna Wonyou referment le classement avec respectivement 2% et 1% des votes.

Vous avez élu Yoni Valverde révélation française de l’année 2023.

Cet award aura définitivement été le plus disputé de 2023. Depuis le 8 janvier, trois des nominés ont mené tour à tour le classement. Mais au 15 janvier minuit, c’est bien Yoni Valverdé qui termine en tête avec 39% des voix. Ce dernier est talonné de très près par Lancelot De La Chapelle, second à 37% et Leonardo Mosquea, troisième avec 16% des voix. Le champion de France des poids mi-lourds, Dylan Colin, termine quatrième avec 8% des suffrages.

Vous avez élu la victoire de Gustave Tamba par TKO en Espagne performance française de l’année 2023.

Avec 43% des voix, la victoire de Gustave Tamba en Espagne est élue performance française de l’année. Elle devance la victoire de Carlos Takam face à Tony Yoka, seconde avec 28% des voix. Les victoires d’Anauel Ngamissengue en Pologne et de Mohamed Mimoune aux États-Unis clôturent le classement avec respectivement 15% et 14% des voix.

Vous avez élu le combat entre Jordy Weiss et Jon Miguez combat de l’année 2023 en France.

Passé en tête dans les derniers instants, le combat entre Jordy Weiss et Jon Miguez est élu combat de l’année en France avec 34% des voix. Meneur jusque-là, le combat franco-français entre Bastien Ballesta et Yvan Mendy finit finalement second avec 30% des voix. Avec 24% de vos votes, le combat revanche entre Khalil El Hadri et Anthony Riviere est troisième, suivi du championnat d’Europe des poids super-légers entre Franck Petitjean et Samuel Molina en quatrième place, avec 12% des votes.

Vous avez élu la victoire de David Spilmont face à Mekki Sahli surprise de l’année 2023 en France.

Avec sa victoire par TKO face Mekki Sahli, David Spilmont est élu surprise de l’année. Le champion de France des poids lourds s’offrent une belle avance sur ses concurrents avec 44% des voix contre 25% pour la victoire de Ryad Merhy sur Tony Yoka, seconde du classement. La victoire de Ziane Abdelouhab sur Bastien Ballesta est troisième avec 17% des voix et devance la défaite surprise de Nordine Oubaali face à Ricardo Martinez, quatrième avec 14% des votes.

INTERNATIONAL

Pour la première édition des Punchtime Awards, six catégories internationales étaient en lice :

Vous avez élu Naoya Inoue boxeur de l’année 2023.

Au vu de leur année 2023 exceptionnelle, deux hommes se disputaient réellement l’award du boxeur de l’année : Naoya Inoue et Terence Crawford. Au terme des votes, c’est le Japonais qui est élu avec 45% des voix. Logiquement suivi par Terence Crawford et ses 38% de votes. David Benavidez et Devin Haney finissent respectivement troisième et quatrième du classement avec 11% et 6% des voix.

Vous avez élu Katie Taylor boxeuse de l’année 2023.

Avec 39% des voix, Katie Taylor confirme son statut de superstar mondiale et est élue boxeuse de l’année 2023. Elle devance l’autre grande star de la boxe féminine, Amanda Serrano, seconde avec 26% des votes. Toute proche de la deuxième place, Alycia Baumgardner termine troisième avec 21% des voix et devance Chantelle Cameron, quatrième avec 14% des voix.

Vous avez élu Tim Tszyu révélation internationale de l’année 2023.

Après une année 2023 exceptionnelle, Tim Tszyu est élu révélation internationale de l’année avec 34% des voix. L’Australien l’emporte d’une courte tête devant Andy Cruz, second avec 30% des voix. Le nouveau champion d’Europe des poids super-légers, Adam Azim, est troisième avec 25% des votes et devance son compatriote britannique, Fabio Wardley, quatrième avec 11% des suffrages.

Vous avez élu la victoire par TKO de Terence Crawford face à Errol Spence performance de l’année 2023.

Sans grand suspense, la victoire de Terence Crawford sur Errol Spence Jr est élue performance de l’année. Avec 73% des voix, elle devance largement la victoire de Gervonta Davis sur Ryan Garcia, seconde avec 17% des voix, la victoire de Teofimo Lopez sur Josh Taylor, troisième avec 7% des voix et la démonstration de Devin Haney face à Regis Prograis, quatrième avec 3% des voix.

Vous avez élu le combat entre Artur Beterbiev et Anthony Yarde combat de l’année 2023.

Avec 43% des votes, le combat entre Artur Beterbiev et Anthony Yarde est élu combat de l’année. Il devance le duel 100% mexicain entre Emanuel Navarrete et Oscar Valdez, second avec 29% des voix. L’affrontement entre Robeisy Ramirez et Rafael Espinoza obtient la troisième place avec 21% des voix contre 7% pour le combat entre Jaime Munguia et Sergiy Derevyanchenko, quatrième du classement.

Vous avez élu la perfomance de Francis Ngannou face à Tyson Fury surprise de l’année 2023.

Suite à sa défaite par décision partagée face à Tyson Fury pour son premier combat professionnel, Francis Ngannou obtient l’award de la surprise de l’année. Avec 55% des voix, il s’impose à la majorité devant les deux victoires de Zhilei Zhang face à Joe Joyce, secondes avec 24% des voix et la victoire de Joseph Parker contre Deontay Wilder, troisième avec 18% des votes. La victoire de Liam Smith face à Chris Eubank Jr clôture le classement avec 3% des voix.
